How to Improve the Range of Bluetooth Receivers

These dropouts are caused by the wireless signal not reaching the speaker. However, dropouts could also originate from other devices interfering with the transmission. In this article, I’m going to offer some tips for improving the wireless range when using Bluetooth audio receivers.

When purchasing a Bluetooth receiver you will typically find a specification for the wireless range. Most commonly available devices will operate up to 30 feet line of sight. This means that you can walk away up to 30 feet from the Bluetooth receiver and still get a clear signal. However, this range is often optimistic and does not consider the fact that anybody walking between the streaming device and the Bluetooth receiver can interrupt the signal and therefore decrease the effective range.
